Nick Molinaro

Nick Molinaro, 63, of Necedah, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Tomah Memorial Hospital.

Nick was born in Kenosha, at St. Catherine’s Hospital on March 18, 1956. Nick was raised by his parents: Samual Molinaro and Norma Fredricks Molinaro, along with his four younger sisters and two younger brothers.
After attending high school at Bradford, Nick started working for himself running a house painting company and working at Kenosha beef as a lugger. In 1973 Nick met the love of his life Sharen Steig and married her on June 22, 1974. After 5 years of marriage Nick and Sharen had a son, Russell Molinaro and two daughters Amie Groth and Kristy Williams. Nick was blessed with another daughter Heidi Smith.
Nick’s jobs included working at Carthage College where he also took a few classes. He worked on the Basketball court after the field house had burnt down. Other jobs included owning and operating Nick & Bob’s 60th Street auto sales in Kenosha. Nick was also employed with Pinkerton Security where he earned the rank of Sergeant. Nick then went to work as a undercover agent for the Kmart Corporation. He worked at the stores in Kenosha and in Zion, Il. He was then transferred to the store in Mauston, WI where he was promoted to be the Head of Loss Prevention and employee theft for 13 stores. Nick made over 800 arrest during his employment at Kmart. Nick and Sharen then purchased a car lot called Crossroads auto sales and a bar and restaurant called Hwy 21 Pub and Grub. He later built and operated Hwy 21 Pawn and Gun in Necedah until he retired on June 10, 2010.
Nick was an avid hunter and fisherman. Nick and Sharen enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping with family and friends. His most pride and joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Nick also had a love for cars, trucks, project boats and riding his Harley.
Nick was blessed with some great brother in laws Tom Steig, Brian Semm, Jeff Elliott and John Savaglio. Also some great sister in laws Sue Steig, Jacqueline Molinaro, Carolyn Molinaro and Audrey Semm.
Nick was also blessed with some great son in laws Jody Smith, Mike Williams and Wes Groth.
Nick was blessed with two life-long friends Alvin Peterson and Robert Schroder.
Nick is survived by his wife of 45 years Sharen Molinaro and his daughters Heidi (Jody) Smith of Kenosha, Wi; Amie (Wes) Groth of Chaseburg, Wi; Kristy (Michael) Williams of Necedah, Wi. His four sisters Victoria Elliott of Necedah, Julie Baumgarten, Shirley Savaglio and Laura Molinaro all of Kenosha, Wi. and two brothers Steven Molinaro and Vincent Molinaro both of Baraboo, Wi. Also survived were his 11 grandchildren Haley and Jayden of Kenosha, Wi; Nevaeh and Olivya of Necedah, Wi; Wes jr, Brooklynn,Olivia, Abigail, Isaiah, Salina and Gage all of Chaseburg,Wi. Also by his beloved best friend and family dog Capone. And many nieces, nephews and friends.
Nick was proceeded in death by his parents Samuel and Norma Molinaro, his mother and father in law Fred and Shirley Steig, his son Russell Molinaro, his uncle Thomas Molinaro and a brother in law Kennith Baumgarten.
Nick hopes that the love he had for his God, his family and friends has fuel them to know the incredible passion he had for them.
A celebration of Nick’s life will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Clearfield Pub & Grill, N7405 State Rd 80, New Lisbon, WI 53950
