Noreen (Reenie) Christensen

Noreen “Reenie” Christensen, 71, of Rockland passed away on January 27, 2021, at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse. She was born August 25, 1949, to William W. and Vivian Austin in Rockland, WI.

On May 13, 1983, Reenie was united in marriage to Christian Christensen. She worked at Stella-Jones (formally Webster Lumber) Bangor, WI for many years.

Noreen loved softball, bowling, golf, singing, visiting the casino, and deer cruises. She was an active member of the Rockland United Methodist Church for over 58 years, the Order of the Eastern Star for 53 years, and American Legion Auxiliary; most recently serving as President.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Chris; her daughter, Renee (Ron) Bass of Bangor; her son, David (Julie) Christensen of Sparta; her sister, Ann (the late Bob) Johnson of Rockland; sisters-in law Ruth (Mike) Weber of Kewaskum; grandchildren Tricia, Zac, Chelsey, Amber, Austin, Madison, Etta; many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, William W. and Vivian M. (Jones) Austin; Mother-in-law Evelyn Christensen, her in-laws, Nancy Bugni, Bernadine Balcom, Karen Miller, and Bob Johnson.

Memorials may be given to the Rockland United Methodist Church or the Order of the Eastern Star.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
