Norma Joanne Thiele

Norma Joanne Thiele, 91, of Holmen, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Gundersen Healthcare in La Crosse WI.

She was born on August 6, 1930 to Joseph & Lola Blair. She married Rodney C. Thiele on July 3, 1949 in La Crosse, WI.

She loved sewing and crafting. Norma was very artistic, as a young mother she started a photo coloring business out of her home. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends making holidays a very special time She loved children and babysat for many children over the years.

Norma is survived by her husband Rodney, her son James (Carol) Thiele of La Crosse, daughter Barbara (Carl) Harmon of Viola, and Jean Thiele as well as a daughter-in-law Marion Thiele (Robert). 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a special friend Jolene Houser.

She is preceded in death by one son Robert A. (Bob) Thiele, a granddaughter Lisa Ann Rislov, a sister Shirly Bubendorf, brother-in-law Henry and a brother-in-law Mike Kokinos.

Thank you to Gundersen Lutheran Nursing and Hospice Staff as well as all our family, friends, and others who helped with Norma’s care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Olivet Beacon of Light Lutheran Church, 2100 Bainbridge St La Crosse, WI 54603.

Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
