Patricia Lea Piepenhagen died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Gunderson Hospital.

Pat was born on January 9, 1941 to Harold M. and Helen G. (Briggs) Heckelbeck in Milwaukee WI.  She graduated in 1958 from West Salem High School.  Shortly after high school, Pat moved to Chicago and worked as a secretary for a publishing company for 12+ years before moving back to LaCrosse.  In 1981 she and her family moved to Southern California.  Pat was able to be a stay home mom for most of the years her children were growing up.  In 1990 she returned to work as a secretary/admin assistant before retiring in 2003 and once again returned to LaCrosse.

Patricia enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts including sewing, scrapbooking, baking and candy making.  She loved her Green Bay Packers and never missed a game!  She could quote stats and arm chair coach with the best of them. Mostly, Pat enjoyed making memories with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her four children, Paul Piepenhagen of Viroqua, WI, Joshua (Karen) Piepenhagen of Huntington Beach CA, Jennifer (Robert) Godsey of McDonough, GA, and Kristina Piepenhagen (Robert York) of LaCrosse WI; eight grandchildren, Kandace, Steven, Zachary, Brandon, Micah, Taylor, Jordynne, and Karina; siblings, Sherry (Robert) Hyer of Tulsa OK, Elaine (Roger) Benson of LaCrosse WI, and Alisa (Steve) Sokolik of Trempealeau, WI; as well as recently united siblings, Larry Bills and Sally Koogler and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael J. Heckelbeck Sr.

The family would like to thank Gunderson Hospital and staff, Springbrook Assisted Living and Gunderson Hospice for the excellent care she received.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation being held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska WI 54650.
