Obituary

Patti Lynne Nesseth

October 29, 2026 | 0 comments

Patti Lynne Nesseth, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on October 24th, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by her loved ones, at Mayo Hospital.

Patti was born on May 11, 1955, to Paul and Elenor (Buros) Kinder. She grew up in West Salem, Wisconsin, where she spent her childhood and began making the memories that would shape her life. In 1974, she married her husband Tom Nesseth, who was just beginning his dedicated Military career. As a devoted wife and loving mother, Patti embraced the journey they went on, living in California, Arizona, and Hawaii before eventually returning to Wisconsin in 1996, where they resided in Sparta for nearly 30 years surrounded by family.

Patti was a kind and giving person who found joy in the simple things in life that made each day special. She loved going to rummage sales, keeping up with her favorite people magazines, Sunday Packer games, taking the occasional trip to the casino, and especially looked forward to her weekly bingo nights. She looked forward to time spent with family and had a way of making those around her feel loved and cared for.

Patti’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, from the young age sleepovers at Grandma’s house where after a fun-filled day they got “the works” at bathtime, cheering them on at their sporting events to proudly watching them grow and flourish into adults. Whether it was spoiling them, making them feel special or simply enjoying their time together, Patti had a way of turning those moments into memories her grandchildren will cherish forever.
