Paul LeRoy Strong
Paul LeRoy Strong, 89, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center, Spring Valley, WI. He was born April 7, 1931 to Elmer and Goldie (Oldenburg) Strong. He married Elizabeth L. (Hansen) Strong October 23, 1954 in La Crosse, WI.
He is survived by his children John Strong, Maria Strong, Michelle (Josh) Lorenz, grandchildren: Rhiannon (Jon) Lubahn, Jake (Amy) Strong, Ben Strong, great-grandchildren: Ethan, Collin, Olivia and Josiah, Lubahn, and Emily Strong, sisters-in-law: Vivian and Maralynn Strong, Phyllis Hansen, brother-in-law: Tom (Terri) Hansen, John Hansen, Michael Hansen, Robert (Sandra) Hansen, and Peter (Cheryl) Hansen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Ray Strong, Earl Strong, David Strong, Jean Strong, Son: Timothy Strong, brothers-in-law: Alois Jr. “Bill” Hansen (Marion), Jerome Hansen, Pat Hansen (Sharon), Jim Hansen, sisters-in-law, Dona Mae Michel (Robert), Mary Jane Hofslien (Howard), Carol Hansen, Bonnie Jean Tschumper (Ray Strong/Norbert), and Bernette Albitz(Pat).
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen, WI, Care Partners in Menomonie, WI, Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Spring Valley, WI, and Interim Healthcare and Hospice.
Their wishes were not to have a ceremony, however, Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family, and Paul will be laid to rest at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, if you would like to extend your sympathies to the family
Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army Corps at 223 N. 8th St, La Crosse, WI 54601 in memory of Paul and Betty Strong.

Daughter-in-law, Patricia Strong, was inadvertently missed in the survivors; as was granddaughter, Melissa, in the preceded in death section of the Aug. 19, La Crosse Tribune.
