Paula Jean Hammes, 73, of Brice Prairie, passed away March 28, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 9, 1953. Paula was the fourth born out of ten to Jack and Dorothy (Olson) Daily.

Paula was a kindhearted person and was always there to give anyone support and guidance.  She was very honest and trustworthy and if anyone would go to her with a problem she would keep it to herself.  She probably carried around a lot of good secrets.

Paula was part of Holmen High School class of 1971.  She held a bond with a special group of ladies. They called themselves the Chicks.  Paula retired young from Coulee Bank where she was a loan officer.  She planned on enjoying retirement with her husband Steve but sadly he passed.

Paula found her true love when she met her husband, Steve.  They married on December 28, 1992, in Las Vegas.

Paula loved her family, especially her children and all of her grandchildren.

Paula is survived by her son, Troy Wing, stepchildren Kim (Tim) Sires, and Adam Hammes; grandchildren, Christopher Wing, Alex Wing, Kasey Wing, Aryiah Wing, Arynn Wing, Caden Sires, Stella Sires, and Jerome Hammes.  Siblings, Ginny Gibbons, Judy (Scott) Lee, Steve (Carol) Daily, John (Bambi) Daily, Mike Daily, Kelly (Gopper) Krause, Tracy (Bruce) Wavra, Susan Daily, and Lynne Proksch.  Many nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband, Steve Hammes, daughter, Michelle Wing, sister, Kerry Daily-Pierce, nieces, Samantha and Lacey Daily.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10 am, followed by a memorial service at 11 am.  A private burial will be at a later date.  Please direct any memorials to the Brice Prairie First Responders.
