Priscilla J. Michael
Priscilla Jane Michael age 76 of La Crosse WI, passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2023 at 10:59 pm at Lakeview Healthcare in West Salem, WI. She was born on January 22nd, 1946 to mother Isabelle Sharer-Hixon and father Truman F. Sharer. Her father was an embalmer at Schroeder Funeral Home in Albany Green, WI. Priscilla married James Blake Michael on August 19th, 1967 at Stoddard United Methodist Church in Vernon County, WI. Priscilla was the youngest of four children.
Priscilla survived Breast Cancer twice. Her first diagnosis was treated with radiation therapy and removal surgery of lymph node. Her second diagnosis was treated with a left breast mastectomy. She will always be the most beautiful woman in the world. Her hobbies were music, playing piano, gardening, and canning her harvest. She also loved flowers and donated her time to a friends’ floral shop in La Crosse as a floral servant specialist. Prior to her retirement, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Master’s Degree in Special Education. She educated and cared for many students. She also enjoyed celebrating holidays, birthdays, and had fun in between when not spending time with family. Priscillas’ family was her heart and soul, and cared for everyone dearly.
Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Michael) Gage (Scott Gage) ; son, James Michael; grandchildren, Cameron Gage and Tyler Gage. She is further preceded in death by her parents, Isabelle and Truman Sharer; husband, James B. Michael; and siblings, David Sharer, James Sharer, and Ann Sharer.
The family would like to thank Lakeview Nursing Home for taking good care of her and the family during this time and being present during her passing.
There will be a private Celebration of Life for family and close friends on Priscilla’s birthday, January 22nd, 2023 at 789 Saint Paul Street Onalaska, WI 54650 from 12pm-2pm. Mail condolences if unable to attend.
I‘m sorry to hear about Priscilla. I really enjoyed working with her. I will always remember reading Billy Idol‘s and Keith Richards’ autobiographies to her. 🙂 She sure loved her kids!
