      To the Duellman family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Duellman was an exemplary teacher who went out of his way for his students. I am so grateful and appreciative to have had him as mine. I believe my life would look a lot different if he hadn’t taken the time to explain to me the consequences of not graduating high school. Mr. Duellman found out I was dropping out my senior year, he tracked me down, took me aside and explained how much I was limiting myself by not getting my high school diploma. I decided after his care and concern for me that I would follow through and graduate. I now live a very comfortable life on a very good salary all because he took 10 minutes out of his day. I am eternally grateful for him. I am sure he inspired and spurred on many more students and affected their lives in significant ways you will never know, but I felt I needed to share my story with you. This world is truly a better place because of him.
      Sincerely,
      Stacie Stefan (Reedy)

I remember when I first started teaching at GET, his classroom was next to mine. I so enjoyed speaking to him each and every day. My girls all took driver’s ed with him and always came home with interesting stories of the history of Arcadia. Such a great man and he will be missed.

    Dear Carol and Duellman family,
I was saddened to learn of Robert’s death. He was such a special person and so caring of others. I will always gratefully remember his loving visits to his stepmom Ella Duellman (my aunt). He would take a break from his driving lessons and stop in at her La Crosse home with a burger and fries or other treat. They would eat, play a few hands of euchre, have a few laughs and then he would be on his way. She always loved his visits and always appreciated all of the Duellman family. She truly always felt part of it and looked forward to seeing all of you. Sincerely, Gayda Hollnagel.
