Rodney A. Lindberg

June 8, 2020 | 7 comments

Rodney A. Lindberg, age 62, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was born on June 1, 1958 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin to Ronald and Arlene (Petterson) Lindberg.

He attended high school in Whitehall, Wisconsin and graduated in 1976. After high school, he worked at Fleming Foods for seventeen years before working at FedEx Ground, servicing the La Crosse and Onalaska area. The relationships he formed with the customers on his delivery route were so special to him. Aside from work, the moments Rod treasured the most were those spent with his family, especially his grandchildren who all thought the world of their Papa. He also enjoyed spending his time outside, whether it be working on cars, fixing anything in his sight, or making sure the birds were always fed. Rod was a helping hand to anyone in need and the number of lives he positively impacted is astounding.

Rodney is survived by his beloved Joann; sons Quentin “Digger” Erickson, Chad (Lindsey) Lindberg, Dustin (Christie) Lindberg, mother Arlene Lindberg, siblings Rick Lindberg, Ryan (Denise) Lindberg, Renee (Jay) Preeshl, Randall (Donna) Lindberg; grandchildren Kaylie, Lilly, Kyler, Parker, Bo, Tucker, Alivia, Kinsley, Blakely; and many aunts, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lindberg; step father, Reno Bacallao; and uncle, Dennis Lindberg.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 3:00-6:00pm at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family are preferred.
