Rodney (Rod) Lee Keesis
Rodney (Rod) Lee Keesis, 40, of La Crosse, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2026.
Rodney is survived by his parents, Karen Julius and Rodney Keesis, his grandparents Mary, Barb, and Leroy, sisters Danielle, Ashley and his niece Kinsley who he adored dearly, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his grandmother Sally and stepfather Dennis.
Rodney was born on October 31st, 1985, in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Logan High School in 2004.
Rodney was the kind of person whose presence left a lasting mark on those who knew him. While he often appeared reserved, the people closest to him knew his clever sense of humor, quick wit, and perfectly timed remarks. He was an avid sports fan, always repping his teams, he found joy in rap music, evenings with friends and family, and simply being in the company of the people who mattered most.
What defined Rodney most was his fierce devotion to the people he loved. He was dependable, sincere, and never hesitated to stand beside his family and friends. The relationships in his life meant everything to him, and he cherished them deeply. Above all, his niece Kinsley and fur baby Myah held a special place in his heart and brought him a happiness unlike anything else. Rodney will be remembered for his authenticity, his loyalty, and the quiet but powerful way he cared for the people around him.
A visitation will be held at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, on Saturday, April 25, from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
