She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Ginny and Gene Viner; and brothers-in-law, Ed Wyland and Jim Kendhammer.

Ruth was a special part of her nieces and nephews lives as they were growing up. They were blessed to have her in their lives and in their children’s lives, as well. Ruth was lucky to have good neighbors who also became good friends; she always looked forward to exercise group and especially treats afterward. Ruth will also be missed by her good friend Barb – she and Barb bonded over playing cards and Ruth looked forward to their weekly games.

The family would like to thank Gundersen Hospice for their care, compassion, and support.

Following Ruth’s wishes no services will be held.  Coulee Region Cremation Group, Onalaska, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Marie and family. So sorry to read about Ruth’s passing. It brought back memories of the days when there was woods between my house and Coulee Superette grocery store and our walks to school. I will remember Ruth in my prayers. Diane (Pedretti) Knudson-Suhr.

Ruth was a special person helping her Aunt Elva by taking her on various excursions. I know they will meet in heaven and have their own adventures and excursions there. I can see them laughing and joking as they always did. Our prayers are with the family of this special person who made an impression on all who met her.

    Dear Sylvia and Ruth,

It is so hard to lose a sister even when they have been suffering in paid for some time. I am so glad that Cousin Ruth had both of you, nieces and nephews and many friends to surround her. That is all we can ask for. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear that Ruth has passed. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were just a group of cousins playing in our grandparent backyard. Although we didn’t see each other a lot as adults, when we did it was always fun to catch up. Rest in peace.
