Sharon Smith, 87, died peacefully Saturday, May 11, 2024, in the loving arms of her granddaughter, Dana Rave. She was dearly loved by her daughters, Gayle Haugstad, Barbara Smith-Johnson (Phil), and Jennifer Smith-O’Brien (Mike). She was born September 28, 1936, to Pearl (Nichols) and Art Anderson. Sharon graduated with the BRF Class of 1954, where she was better known as “Pepsi”, for reasons too long to explain here. In school, she was one of five friends; Sue, Maya, Pepsi, Shirley, and Carol. The first 3 have passed leaving Shirley and Carol to carry on. Sharon worked and danced, shopped, and loved hard. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard and Robert; and son-in-law, Hal Haugstad. She was deeply loved by her grandchildren, Dana, Nathan, Neil, Philp, Bethany, Ana, Wyatt, Alayna, and Maryn; great- grandchildren, Abigayle, Annaliese, Clayton, Elijah, Isaiah, Weston, Gunner, Isabella, Noah, Deacon Jude, Ryder, and Maverick, and also, a great-great-grandson, due in September. There are no goodbyes, only see you later. Second star to the right and straight on to morning Mom.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls at 10:30am on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

    Gayle—
Thinking about you and your family during this difficult time. We’ve had lots of giggles about our moms over the years. Hang on to those memories that make you smile. Pretty sure that’s how we feel a little tap on the shoulder from those who’ve left us. Love and hugs, Susan
