I had the pleasure of working briefly with Shirley at the Villa, and our paths crossed several times after that. She was the kindest soul I ever met. She seemed the epitome of grace and gratitude. She was an example of a life well led.

My dear sweet Shirley, I am going to miss you terribly! From the first day we met at LCT so long ago, you have touched my heart. Such a caring, soft-spoken, loving person with a great sense of humor. I cherish the years we shared, and I shall always remember you. Your struggle was long, but always thinking of others, you never complained or let on how you really were. May you find peace, contentment, and happiness with our Lord and Savior. Until we meet again in that costume shop in the sky, enjoy reuniting with your loved ones! The last step in your journey takes you one step into Heaven!!
