Susan Jo Ristey
Susan Jo Ristey, 68, of Holmen, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on Monday, July 4, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 2, 1953 in La Crosse to Arlene and Joseph Keenan. She and her husband Larry acknowledged their 39th Wedding Anniversary on July 2, 2022.
She enjoyed knitting and cross stitching, but her greatest joy was following her grandkids lives growing up, school, sports and graduations. They were a big part of her life.
She is survived by her husband Larry; 5 brothers; Richard and Robert of FL., Roger (Debra) Keenan of Wisconsin Rapids, Russell (Darci) Keenan of Onalaska, Rodney (Vicky) Keenan of La Crosse, and one sister JoAnn Keenan of La Crosse. She is further survived by a son Jared Stoll and wife Janice; grandson Ethan and granddaughter Emma; two stepchildren Kurt Ristey and Kristina Mandel, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother Arlene Stark, father Joseph Keenan, two sisters Carol Wardwell and Judy Fagen.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Allison Cobb will officiate. Interment will be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Gundersen Lutheran Staff of 6th floor, especially Dr. Parsons and Dr. Westergard and the entire staff of the Oncology Clinic. Also a thank you to the nurses and staff of St. Croix Hospice. Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
I haven’t seen Sue in a long time, but we were neighborhood friends on French Island back in the day. So sorry for your loss. Sue RIP!

So sorry for your loss. Sue was a great person, I enjoyed working with her over the years at Lakeview and Gundersen. I particularly remember the blizzard we had and Sue and I went to work as others couldn’t make it in. Tom took us to work with a rolling coast by your house for Sue to hop in so we wouldn’t get stuck! That shift lasted 24 hours! So many memories.
You guys are in my thoughts and prayers, may she RIP!
