Obituary
Terry Hirschuber
Terry Hirschuber, age 71, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, was called home to Heaven on May 26, 2026.
He was born on October 31, 1954, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to William “Bic” and Margie Hirschuber. Terry spent his early years in Stoddard, growing up in his family’s home along the Mississippi River. He attended Desoto High School and, after graduation, began a career in construction.
Terry was first blessed with two sons, Jamie and Josh. Later, he married Kelley, becoming a stepfather to Felicia, and together they welcomed their son, Tanner. After many years mastering his craft, Terry founded his own construction company, Select Carpentry. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career.
In 2016, Terry suffered a stroke and was forced to retire earlier than expected. He spent the following years enjoying time with family and friends and appreciating the simple moments in life. He shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Jade, who was by his side for 14 years. She was truly his “soul dog”, and he loved taking her swimming and playing tug-of-war with her.
Terry was known for his love of fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors. Some of his happiest days were spent on his boat with family and friends, enjoying the sandbars of the Mississippi River. He was also a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan and never missed a game. Sundays were for the Packers. Terry was known for having a sweet tooth and never said no to dessert. He especially loved a good milkshake.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Kelley Hirschuber; his children, Jamie (Kim) Hirschuber, Josh (Kelly) Hirschuber, and Felicia (Lewis) Miller; his sisters, Tami and Tanya; his brother, Rick; several grandchildren; and many other cherished family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margie Hirschuber; his brothers, Bill and Tim Hirschuber; and his son, Tanner Hirschuber.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2026, at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
