Vera Elizabeth (Bell) Sanders, age 73 of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 7th, 1949 to Ronald and Eunice Bell. She married Ernest H. Sanders, Jr onJanuary 22, 1966 at the First Lutheran Church in Onalaska, Wisconsin.

Vera was such a devoted wife, mom and grandma, she loved us all unconditionally. She was always there when we needed guidance, emotional support or physical care. She showed us what love was in every sense of the word, even if we drove her a little crazy once in a while. She always wanted to know what was going on in our lives and her grandsons. Her love for Ernie and their 60 years together, showed us what true love was. They had just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on January 22nd. We couldn’t have asked for a better mom and we made sure she knew it. If love could’ve saved her, she would’ve lived forever.

Survived by her husband Ernest, son Brian (Teri) Sanders of Holmen, daughters; Sherry (Butch) Faas of Melrose, April Nimtz (Erik, Cassidy Ahlberg) of La Crosse and grandsons; Parker Nimtz and Billy Faas. Brothers; Walter (Rose) Bell, LeRoy (Diana) Bell, sister; Arlene Boisen and special nephew; Dallas Boisen, Brad Faas, son of Butch Faas. Brother in-laws; Phillip (Joyce) Sanders, Joe Sanders and sister in-laws; Marilyn Amundson, Kay (Ron) King, along with many special nieces and nephews. Proceded in death by parents Ronald and Eunice Bell, In-laws; Ernest Sr. and Helen Sanders. Brothers; Edwin, Ronald Bell and niece Lesa Boisen.

A special thank you to her husband and our dad for taking exceptional care of her. Because of him, she was able to remain at home until her death. There will be a celebration of life at the Onalaska Park at shelter #1 on May 13, 2023 at 1:00.
