Obituary

Warren “Buster” Bradley Waller

August 21, 2020 | 10 comments

Warren “Buster” Bradley Waller, 67, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on August, 20th 2020. He was born on June 1st 1953 in La Crosse, to Fern and Warren Waller. Warren married Cheryl Quall on January 6th 1973 in Holmen.

He worked as a welder for many years at River Steel. On his off time he dabbled in numerous hobbies. When he wasn’t tinkering in the garage on motorcycles or cars, you could find him sweeping both land and beneath the water with a metal detector, taking photos of area scenery, or on his back porch sipping a bourbon after firing up the grill. Post retirement he became quite the beer and wine maker, always offering up his latest creation. This was usually paired with a slab of homemade jerky while dogs Ruby and Stella begged for a bite.

He enjoyed trips to smoke filled casinos and sandy beaches, casting a fishing line in the water with his grandkids, and whipping up his famous stir fry in the wok. Family vacations were always a highlight. He had the itinerary planned out to the mile, always ending up in the most unusual destinations.

Warren is survived by his wife Cheryl, sons Travis (Jenny) Waller, Jesse (Kayla) Waller, grandchildren Jack and Peter, along with his sisters Sue Anderson and Leanne (Marvin) Bruemmer as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike Waller, sister Linda McCumber.

Thank you to Gundersen Hospice. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.

Condolences
