William “Bill” Francis Ogden, 75, of La Crosse, WI passed away on Saturday November 5, 2022, at Gundersen Health System. He was born on October 1, 1947, to LaVonne Jeaninne Sloan and William Clark Ogden, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Ogden (2002), and sister, Bonnie Williams (2006). He was survived by his six children: Chery Bridgewater, Julie (Tony) Zufelt, Tim Boardman, Ashley Weiker, Amber (Jeremy) Breidel, and Tyler (Britny) Weiker; and 1 stepson, Justin Weiker. He was also survived by his sister, Vicky (Bob) Olinger, and his brother, Michael Sloan. William married Pamela Moss on June 8, 1970 and divorced shortly after. He married Dixie Reed on December 11, 1972 and divorced on January 24, 1977. He married Kathleen (Kay) Swenson on September 27, 1980 and divorced on December 29, 1981. Bill loved to do all kinds of fishing. He could be found ice fishing on Lake Onalaska, catfishing under the Big Blue Bridge, or bobber fishing with his kids out at Twenty-Two on French Island. As soon as he bought a boat, he ventured out a lot more and spent several hours on the river in the summer. If he wasn’t out fishing, you could find him in the garage working on anything with an engine. He was often found in the garage with his head under a hood or if you couldn’t find him there, he could be found under the car full of dirt and grease. William’s wishes were to be cremated with a service for his friends and family to remember him. The service will be held at the Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2pm with a visitation to be held from 1pm until time of service.
